a month? really? And I thought I drank slow. You have just learned an important lesson; always have one coming out of conditioning before the other(s) are emptied. Also, is this Shaggy from rec.crafts.brewing?

Is that slow? I have a couple pints a night? Just me... wife doesn't drink beer, she drinks Miller Lite...

Nope... I used to go by "Shaggy" a long time ago, but "knew" a girl who thought she was a kangaroo, so I became "shaggaroo"And you're right I need to brew some more!Carlos, sorry you didn't even get the last pint to yourself...

That is a terrible sound when the keg blows. Actually a month is a good time to keep a keg. At the start I was going thru a keg within a week or two (lots of neighbors to help me) and once I had one sit for a while I realized how clear it became. Now I like to have at least 3 kegs going at any one time so that by the time time a keg makes it to the serving fridge it is properly aged and cleared.

That is about what i do two glasses a day, supplemented at times with others( keeping an open mind) . I have one empty now, and one ready to empty ( maybe , seems like it has lasted forever) and i have two beers ready to go in , a pale alea, and a porter( my first on a keg) . Should be just fine. And i do hate it when the keg blows, i usually see bubbles ( air i presume) going back up the line. Before it does, usually im watching the glass and have it filled 12 oz full and then comes the crap. Dang i hate that, next time i run it through a piece of cheesecloth or something( another subject sorry)

what really sucks is that invariably the beer is at it's flavor peak when it blows, I swear to god. I'll be thinking, damn this stuff is really kicking ass, then I realize that that means the ensd is nigh.

Best part... this was crystal clear to the very end, but then I did let it sit in primary for 3 weeks then in secondary for another 3 weeks.
