ok so i've been doing some research on a clone of rogue's imperial IPA, the one that comes in the clay bottle. There is one clone recipe out there from BYO magazine thats listed below, im not sure why they chose newport and sterling, the bottle itself says saaz, cascade, and goldings. In any case, my real question isif this beer uses "100 percent floor malted marris otter" how on earth do they get this beer to finish dry enough without using corn sugar or what notIs John Maier a wizard?, is pacman a wizard? lol pacman isn't a wizard, but apparently they can chew through a lot of sugar...one little yellow dot at a time.I'd mash really low and leave the mash until you get complete conversion (if you has starch testing equip) or for a good hour and a half two hours. I know I've read that all conversion should happen within an hour but on my system if I mash 1.5 or 2 hours over just one I get a drier beer...IMO it would be nice to try this but with the hops listed on the bottle.... it might be close using the different hops but it seems like this would be a delicious clone to try and nail and have on tap...... mmmmmmmmmmm.... Because I sure as hell am not paying the $25 dollars for a bottle of this stuff here!

its "only" 16-17 dollars all the way out here in NJ and i say "only" as a relative term. is it really 25 where you are

yes but I'm in canada where it's impossible to buy even a 6 pack of BMC brew for under 10 bucks. :) I think you should make with the hops off the bottle dude!

This exact recipe has been around since 2005 and sold by b3 as a kit (citation), they may have switched things up a bit in the past 4ish years
