One of the biggest marketing SNAFUs in history.Several years ago, Guiness offered free bar towels. They passed off the production, marketing and fulfillment to a vendor. The vendor underestimated the response, (by a figure of 12-1 from what I heard).1 in 12 people that ordered the free towels got them. The others never heard anything back and the orders were never acknowledged or sent. People got pretty bent out of shape about it.

Thanks Duncan. That does sound like it was crazy. Very interesting. I had not heard about that before.

I had to assume they were plastic...i mean the shipping rates on 4 glass pieces would be outrageous for how many they are going to send out....

Just got mine too. Don't mind the plastic cups. The bottle opener does a bad job of opening beer bottles though.

I have had my kit for a couple months now. Why don't you guys use the small plastic cups as tasting glasses if you keg and serve your beer. My guests have enjoyed using those. They are pretty handy cheesy or not.
