Well it was a long day. I almost always make at least one stupid mistake during a brew session, but this was a first. I added a pint of starsan solution to my carboy, swirled, and capped. A few minutes later, without pitching out the solution, I racked 5.5 gallons of wheat ale right on top of it. Now, it was only a pint - maybe a quart - but definitely no more than quart. I don't think there will be much if any off flavor, but we'll see. Any guesses?StarSan Weisse!
Big Mistake!

I agree. I don't think it will have a noticeable effect.RDWHAHB

I've racked on top of a lot of starsan foam before without problem. Not as much as that, but it should be fine. At least it wasn't infected!Cheers,Rich

Properly mixed Star-San is safe to drink and doesn't have all that much flavor (Five Star claims most people can't tell it apart from plain water). 1 pint in 5 gallons shouldn't be a problem at all.
