Yep. I don't brew outside in winter, though, but in the garage. I don't think I'd subject myself to the outside for the 4-8 hrs to brew if I had a cold.

Well, if you brew a clone of Coors (and who wouldn't want to?) then you have to brew out in the cold while you have a cold. That's why they say it's frost brewed, right?Right?

I don't brew when I'm sick because I'd rather spend the time resting and getting healthy. That, and I make enough mistakes on a "healthy" brew day (but aren't critical) that I know I'd make a major error when I'm not feeling well.

Right! It's not the coldest beer in the world for nothing! I brew in the garage and I'm sure I have brewed with a cold. If I had the flu or something, all bets are off.

It has been raining/sleeting/snowing here for 3 straight days, and it is supposed to do the same tomorrow, about 35 degrees, nonetheless I will be brewing, albeit mostly in the garage, but still need to clean the MT and BK outside, and run the hoses, so chances are I will catch a cold. Does that count? (however my system should still be well polluted with garlic and booze, not many germs can live under these circumstances)

Our biggest snowstorm so far was back in October (Colorado at it's finest) I brewed outside...although i have a covered porch...the hose had to be taken in the basement to thaw...

I have brewed with a cold before. Has not happened many times I have been fortunate to be pretty healthy. If I had the flu or such forget it but a stuffy nose or mild cough its on I say. The only crap part is not being able to smell the hops after you toss them into the boil kettle.

Go ahead and brew. I've done it. Your cold won't hurt the beer any. Virus not bacteria. You'll be glad you did in a couple months. Just don't try to rush through it.

This! It's all personal preference, but what DJ says is so true... just pay even closer attention to what you are doing to keep your head in the game.
