Yeah - I actually use a bar mat but it serves the same purpose. If it's just me and I'm only pouring one beer I'll often just wait a second and wipe the drip with a paper towel to reduce the frequency that I have to clean out the mat. If I'll be pouring beers all night I just let them get on the mat. That's why God made drip trays. Normal stuff..........
I think the main idea is that the liquid DOES drip out relatively quickly versus sitting in the faucet for an extended period of time and possibly turning into beer gunk in the faucet.I thought the whole idea of these forward sealers was to avoid this?

I've never lubed my ventmatic rubber parts. I thought they didn't need it?I usually get a couple of seconds worth of drippage out of both of my Perlick faucets, though usually not any more than that. I bought a bar towel that I keep underneath to absorb any extra after my glass is no longer there. I also disassemble the faucet with every keg change, clean everything, and give the gaskets a spray of silicone lube before I reassemble.

Thanks for that link, I remember that from a while ago, and I should definitely make the investment. A little steep, but the free shipping is nice.

I don't know if it's really necessary. I spray it on all of the rubber parts in my keg system. It may help a little with the seal and extend the life of the rubber parts though.I've never lubed my ventmatic rubber parts. I thought they didn't need it?

maybe I'll hit them with a little keg lube next time I break them down. I guess it can't hurt.I don't know if it's really necessary. I spray it on all of the rubber parts in my keg system. It may help a little with the seal and extend the life of the rubber parts though.
