I have 3 ventmatics, and 1 perlick. All of them drip after the pour, surprisingly the perlick is the best of the 4. It could be completely normal, they drip about 4 or so times from about 3-10 seconds afyer closing the faucet.Again could be normal, and I would think there would need to be some drippage due t what is remaining in the spout, but I thought the whole idea of these forward sealers was to avoid this? I have had them for a few years, and never paid attention to it, but my buddy was over yesterday and made mention of it, so I figured maybe there is some adjustment I am not considering. So is this normal? How much do your faucets drip?

Mine is about the same. It's just beer on the inner walls of the faucet nozzle I think.

Yeah - I actually use a bar mat but it serves the same purpose. If it's just me and I'm only pouring one beer I'll often just wait a second and wipe the drip with a paper towel to reduce the frequency that I have to clean out the mat. If I'll be pouring beers all night I just let them get on the mat.

I think the main idea is that the liquid DOES drip out relatively quickly versus sitting in the faucet for an extended period of time and possibly turning into beer gunk in the faucet.

I usually get a couple of seconds worth of drippage out of both of my Perlick faucets, though usually not any more than that. I bought a bar towel that I keep underneath to absorb any extra after my glass is no longer there. I also disassemble the faucet with every keg change, clean everything, and give the gaskets a spray of silicone lube before I reassemble.

I've never lubed my ventmatic rubber parts. I thought they didn't need it?

Thanks for that link, I remember that from a while ago, and I should definitely make the investment. A little steep, but the free shipping is nice.

I don't know if it's really necessary. I spray it on all of the rubber parts in my keg system. It may help a little with the seal and extend the life of the rubber parts though.

maybe I'll hit them with a little keg lube next time I break them down. I guess it can't hurt.
