Caustic/NaOH how much per gallon?

I can't seem to find some of my notes since my move...how much crystallized NaOH do you add per gallon?EDIT: IIRC it is supposed to be somewhere around 2-3%

Ooops, I was going to say ~2% -- guess that doesn't help, though, since you already know that.

Thanks CJ, I also found my notes last night:75.75g NaOH per gallon will give you a 2% caustic solution

For future quick reference1g/mL = 100% solution1g/100mL = 1% solution1 gallon = 3785mL37.85g/gallon =1% solution9.45g/qt = 1% solution4.725g/pt = 1% solution2.863g/cup = 1% solution
