Ok it's not the most glorious brewing apparatus ever created but the beauty lies in the speed that it was thrown together and low cost of construction. The power supply was a 9vdc 400ma wall wart that was laying around from some device we probably don't own any more. The muffin fan came out of an old PC case. The stir magnet came out of an old hard drive that needed to be destroyed anyways. And the platform is a slim DVD case. Posted ImageAs you can see it's stirring away an American Hefeweizen starter and not throwing the magnet. Boom, boom, baby. :)

Plan? Heh, no plan my man. Just a wall wart powering a muffin fan with a hard drive magnet attached to it. After I get done with this starter I plan on getting some plexiglass to make it a bit more pretty and permanent.

Very compact (disk......- pun not intended, but I will take the credit). It looks great! Mine is the opposite of small, but it is a double, works well, and I like it. Posted Image

Thanks guys. It was a spur of the moment idea that actually worked out really well with the parts I had on hand.

HehThere really isn't much too it at all. I'd take more pictures but I literally put it to use immediately after making it and it's currently spinning the yeastie beasties around. :)

With skills like that you'll be fine when you are stuck in your house when the zombies attack.
