Whats the advantage to this and how do you do it?I'm an extract brewer but I do full boils in a 7.5 gal brewpot. Does making a hop tea only apply to partial boils?Another question: Is there any disadvantage to adding your bittering hops in when you add your steeping grains?

The only advantage, as I understand it, is to "fix" an underbittered beer. If you're doing full boils you shouldn't need it unless you screw something up.

IF you want to you can use a hop tea for either full or partial boils. My experience with boiling hops in water for hop tea has been very bad. Very harsh and vegetal, nothing I'd ant in my beer.Whats the advantage to this and how do you do it?I'm an extract brewer but I do full boils in a 7.5 gal brewpot. I think it would be akin to FWH. You would get little to no bitterness from it.Another question: Is there any disadvantage to adding your bittering hops in when you add your steeping grains?
