Well they didn't say that specifically, but they would randomly show a "Shelf plan" of a grocery store and they started circling ones that AB had bought which Leffe was apart of.I have no idea what Beers Wars even is, other than it sounds like a documentary about craft brew. Anywho, I didn't know Leffe was bought up either. I had one the other night though and it was still tasty.

Yeah, it was definintely anti-A-B, which is why I was happy that the panel wasn't entirely, though mostly, cheerleaders against A-B.I think I saw most of the movie part had to leave just after the moonshot lady got denied by AB. Girlfriend had to go and get a kidney infection...boo Well anyway, I thought it was a pretty good flick had some stuff in there I had no idea about. I wish they would have talked to more people than just the Moonshot and DFH guy. I mean they did but I wish they would have gone more in depth about some of the other little breweries like New Belgium and such. I took my buddy who was a film major and he had some things to say about it. He thought it was a good story and pretty interesting. However he did mention that is was pretty much a big anti-Anheuser-Busch commercial. Said that whenever they would put something from that company on the screen the lighting would change and the music would get more depressing and he thought that was funny. The other thing he mentioned that I agreed with is that the camera work was pretty horrible. I know they weren't on a big budget but they could have done better than what seemed to be a high school year end project. The most amazing thing I learned from it was all of the beer brands that AB has consumed. I mean Jesus Christ Hoegaarden, Leffe, Rolling Rock, etc. Then they shut down those breweries and go make a crap version in St. Louis...I hate those guys I really really hate those guys...
Ouch, that's ironic because the panel was in LA I believe. We watched a bunch of those trivia and clips and saw 2 or 3 repeats as well before the show started. As a west coaster, I had to see it on delay.Technical difficulties. They couldn't play it off the Dish Network DVR. We saw beer trivia and and 45 second snippets for Stone, New Belgium and Boston Beer company, 3 times!50 minutes later, we got a free pass and a full refund. No movie. I told people around me that it was my fault. I came to that theater and this crap always happens to me.Glad you guys liked it, I may never know.....zymot

Actually, Leffe is an InBev brand (as is Hoegaarden), and InBev bought AB, not the other way around.Well they didn't say that specifically, but they would randomly show a "Shelf plan" of a grocery store and they started circling ones that AB had bought which Leffe was apart of.

In many ways, yes they are. But as evil as AB might have been, InBev scares me much more, especially now that they have the AB distribution network.well that makes sense....but they are still evil...

Being a youngin the whole three tier thing is rather new to me, i had herd of it before but never thought much of it....what amazes me is that it was created to deter monopolies, but now it is only helping themIn many ways, yes they are. Yep, I noticed that too, and I thought it odd the way that he stated that he was going to bottle a batch in the next few days when it looked to be at the height of fermentation still. To tell you the truth, I kind of thought that it may have been a prop batch to show the viewers that he hasn't lost touch with his home brewing roots, but I can be a bit cynical.Overall I liked it, but it didn't blow me away by any means.did anyone else find it weird that the DFH guy had a carboy fermenting out in the open next to a big window?

That didn't seem as weird to me b/c I have had many batches where the krausen raises almost to the top and then when it recedes the residue is left on the glass/plastic where from far away it it will look like it is still goin...I just thought it was weird to have the thing in direct sunlight out in the open....Yep, I noticed that too, and I thought it odd the way that he stated that he was going to bottle a batch in the next few days when it looked to be at the height of fermentation still.
