Hello, just took a look at the beautiful pics in the pic thread and i happened to see a clamp that held the thermometer to the side of the pot. anyone know the best place to buy that?i have a floating thermometer but it isnt useful since i really need a large liquid volume in order for it to float.also i have seen the portable propane burner units in some pictures on here and i thought instead of an internet search id utilize the brew wisdom on here and ask where is the best place to buy this kind of thing. Thanks!

no idea on the clip - bought my propane burner at HD - maybe not the best price but not much more expensive and I wanted to be able to easily return it if necessary.

The thermometer clamp is standard in a turkey fryer kit, which is where many get the burner stands.

I bought my first bayou classic sq14 from home depot, but when I went back a couple years later, they stopped carrying that model. I went to amazon to purchase my second burner:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009JXYQ4/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000291GBQ&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1K4GP7H5YA7VM1TYXP69I like the SQ14 because I find it to be relatively fuel efficient, and I prefer the square base, as it holds round profile kettles (I use a keggle with the lip all the way around the bottom) very well.
