I got this recipe from my son.  He made it last year in Texas when we were doing a big Mexican dinner.  I have used it on tacos and you can just use it as a dip.  Really good.

* One ripe avocado, peeled and seeded (don't use an unripe avocado)

* 1/4 cup non-fat greek yogurt or sour cream

* 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

* 2 tablespoons milk

* 1 large clove garlic, minced

* juice of one lime

* Small pinch of kosher salt

Optional:  one Serrano pepper or as much as you would like for heat.

Blend everything in a Bullet, Ninja, etc.

I used it here on some fish tacos ...

I could see it being made slightly thinner and putting it into one of those squirt bottles so you could just fire it right at your tacos. :P

You read my mind on that, I was just going to ask if it's thin enough for a squeeze bottle :D

We do something similar, minus the avocado. We usually use a mixture of mayo and Greek yogurt thinned with milk. We sometimes do fancier fish tacos like yours but often do it as a weeknight meal using fish sticks, buy some bagged slaw for the top and chop up some radishes and tomato. Super good.

I'm going to make some of this white bean chicken chili for the girl on Thursday and instead of using sour cream on top I think I'll make the avocado lime crema.  I mentioned this to her tonight and she said I made it for her once before .. it must have been a long time ago because I don't remember making it for her.

I just made a batch of this for something I'm making for the girl tomorrow night.  It is so fucking good.  If you like all of the ingredients, you will really dig this stuff.

I made another batch and used plain greek yogurt this time.  There is enough flavor from the cilantro, lime, serrano, etc. that I can't really tell the difference from using sour cream.  The consistency is mildly thicker but not by much.
