RGEEK Plus Update Wood Version SDHC Dual Core with 32GB Micro SD Memory Card for Nintendo 3DS NDS New 3DSLL, No timebomb for Gaming Console https://a.co/d/dtz1BSB
We have an old DS (lite?) and 3ds neither of which get much play. We also have a number of roms on a laptop running retropie.
I will be traveling a lot this year and it could be an airport/plane distraction. I like the compactness over a switch, which is my youngest son's primary system.
If I get a flash kart like this do I just load a bunch of games on it and it will work?
I understand I can update the system to run emulators to include other systems. I don't really need or want that they are more than enough native games
DS / 3DS flash cart

I ended up ordering one. It did not work in the 3ds but it worked in the DSi. It came pre-loaded with DS games as well as emulators and games for gbc, gba, neo/geo, nes, snes maybe 1200 in total. A lot of stuff that will never get played but just about every DS game you would want. At some point I will delete games that will never get played
Researching why it doesn't work in the 3ds, it appears Nintendo pushed a patch in later updates blocking the cards.
But for casual airport/plane gaming the DSi works
