Small print on the package says it was produced for White Labs by Lallemand...

 

They are rumored to be releasing 2 more strains as dry yeast by the end of the year.

Ha!  I did not see that at all.  I was looking on my phone but still no excuse.  I will just get some S-05 or Verdant.  

 

I can tell I have been out of the game for a bit because all dry yeast seems to have shot up!

Not at Ritebrew. Their dry yeast prices seem much lower than most places.

That is where I would normally get stuff.  Good to know they are normal... one day I may have to shop there again.

Yep, usually buy mine at ritebrew. Needed some faster for my brew today and just ordered off of Amazon, I think about $3/pack.

I pretty much just use S-05 and 34/70 these days because that covers most of the beers I want to brew an entire batch of.

Sorry, not going down this argument again.  I have used BRY-97 and it was not one that I personally liked.  S-05 tastes better to me and that is all that matters.  Truthfully I will use Verdant first and S-05 second.

Sorry, I could have worded it better.  I am a bit touchy today because my kids just spent 3 hours in lockdown while SWAT searched every room because of a damn hoax.

Probably said this before but I don't think I've ever had that issue with us-05. It has it's own character but that hasn't generally been part of it for me.

Never been an issue .. or not one I detect.

 

ETA I just wonder if I do not detect it as much as others.  I mean I can get it in microwave popcorn and some commercial but never had it with S-05 that I could find.
