Howdy, folks. Looking for a new documentary-type series to watch and wondering what the PHBT is into.

If you haven’t seen “The Way Down,” it’s worth checking out (HBOmax). It’s about a cult-like church in Tennessee run by a crazy anorexic lady.

“Bob Lazar: Area 51 and Flying Saucers” was reality wild.

You’ve all probably seen the Skinwalker Ranch episodes but if you haven’t, it’s a good time.

My longer term project is The Sopranos, In on the last season (never watched before). My shorter term project is an HBO series called The Head. It's about mysterious happenings at an Antarctic research station (thankfully not pertaining to the toilet, at least so far).

I liked The Head S1 a lot but they should have stopped there. S2 was okay but kind of silly.

I'm just in episode 3. Katharine O'Donnelley, though.

Nothing specific, but if you like historical stuff, you might try the streaming service called 'History Hit.'  It's pretty cheap ($50/yr IIRC) and only history docs and series. My wife watches it constantly.

Thanks, George! I’ll check it out. Love me some history!

Will look at the other suggestions, too!

They also have a podcast, Dan Snow's History Hit.  The episode on the Spanish Armada is one of the best podcasts on history that I've heard.  Dan Snow is a historian with an interest in naval history who usually interviews other historians, but in this one episode he just talks from his own expertise as a naval historian and amateur sailor who has sailed the English Channel for most of his life and knows the winds and the currents and all of the lore.

We finished season 1. I thought it was pretty good. Good suspense but didn't really on anything supernatural or things jumping out to scare you.

I didn't solve it exactly but but the solution was one of my theories, anyway.

A lot of things I've read say that season 2 is horrible. It seems like it could stop right here though there are definitely still some unanswered questions.

Worth watching. Good setting and music. The lead female actor was actually really good (not just nice to look at, as I mentioned previously).
