Yesterday fucked a lot of people.

I don't follow this, but it's a big deal around here, obviously. The news said last night that over 20 million people were on ESPN brackets but fewer than 500 made out of yesterday still perfect.

you are also in Indiana so you would have heard more about the impact of Purdue losing.

I am actually surprised 500 perfect. A 1,2 and 4 all loss. I don't know why someone would have picked all of those and get everything else right

It only matters if you’re going for the perfect bracket. Office pools, it’s all about being better than the crowd. Most major upsets, no one picks. It’s all about the fringe ones you pick that set you are apart:

That was before the Purdue loss. After that there are no more perfect brackets at ESPN. Heard this morning.

Interesting that Purdue got beat by a team that was only in the tournament on a kind Of bullshit NCAA rule.

... as a 15 seed.  Crazy.  Oh wait, I shouldn't use the word 'crazy'... it refers to the mentally-ill.  

 

My daughter went to Indiana and I texted her saying that IU being a #4 seed is very exciting.  Her first text back was "Yeah but Purdue lost to a 16!!".  The rivalry between IU and Purdue is hilarious.  My son went to Texas and they're a #2 so my my kids are digging this.

The Vols made it to the Sweet 16 without their starting PG, who was lost a few weeks back to an ACL injury. Even if we lose the next game I’ll have to consider the tournament a success.

I didn't know Ziegler was out. I also figured Purdue would suffer without the B1G refs. They didn't know how to call their big center, he could spend 5 seconds in the lane on offense and beat on people when on D (he also got hit a lot when he played offense without fouls). They are also not the same team away from Mackey arena

This was in the women's tourney. Even though the top 4 seeds host the games they are prevented from treating it like a home game. One of the things that prevents is playing traditional songs. For #1 seed VA Tech that meant no metallica, problem solved

Vol fans have never understood this. The song was inspired while driving through Rutledge, TN and even has “Tennessee byway” in the lyrics.
