Trying to download pictures to my windows PC, and they make it fucking impossible. I've authorized the computer, jumped through their hoops, and still it won't let me download the photos. Anyone got a suggestion?

God, this was hell when we tried it. Wife wanted to transfer like 20k photoes (wtf??) and whatever program she was using would only let her select 1k at a time. There was a 3rd party (pay to win) option, but i can't remember what we did. I think she got pissed, i got drunk, and we woke up the next day with the pictures on the PC. Sorry man, that's the happiest, most useless ending ever.

If your drinking helps the process, please hoist for me.

Is this because Amazon Drive is going away on the 1st?

No, I don't use that. Can't update the phone because it has to have 3+ GB of empty space, but I can't offload the photos to be able to update the phone.

Oh, shit. IDK why I read Amazon instead of Apple. Please disregard.

I do it through iCloud
Can't use that without paying them, and I'm not giving them any money.

I normally move pictures and other files between my windows laptop and iphone with OneDrive. I don't know about real bulk transfers but I easily move a dozen or more all of the time. Once I transfer from phone to laptop (I copy out of the OneDrive to a Pictures folder on windows) I just delete the phones from iphone
Edit I saw your last update, I do it this way because I don't need to subscribe and pay for a cloud service.

Thanks- trying OneDrive for the videos now. Hopefully that frees up enough space. It's a work account, so I'm guessing I'll get a call from IT when I move a few gigs of files to an outside computer.

Well, not really
A certain number of GB are free
I do pay like $3/mo, so I never have to worry about it

I’m confused. It won’t let you access phone via usb cable and drag and drop?
No. Aggravates me with my iPad when I transfer lyric files

This very fact is why I swore off Apple products about 15 years ago. It's so aggravating.

I bet it’s your work computer and not the phone blocking it. My work computer does. My personal computer doesn’t, same phone(s).

I can do this with my iPhone and PC laptop. You do have to remember to hit ‘allow’ on the phone though.
