My son's ski pants have some small holes/tears down around the cuff of the pants.  is there a product that actually sticks works well that anyone has experience with?

I thought something like this might work...

https://www.rei.com/...pe-mini-patches

but then I noticed in the questions that it won't readily stick to material with a waterproofing layer which these pants definitely have.

I guess these might work but too bad his pants are a kind of brown/gold color.  https://www.amazon.c...c/dp/B07B6QGNY3

hmmm.. these might be good: https://www.amazon.c...B001UNEX4A?th=1

I used these on a pair of hunting bibs in 2012 according to my amazon order history.  Still holding strong.

Material on those is basically the same as my ski pants.

Gear aid patches and tape. I've used it on jackets and pants that I've put holes in and it's held up great.

That.  Duct tape builds character.  Should be able to find brown if you don't want to draw attention to it.

yeah, went with the coyote brown gear aid patches.  won't match exactly but will be good enough.  freakin' holes on both pant legs and not on the inside where you would expect.

I’ve patched lifter nylon material with hockey tape. Very sticky but also not stiff.

I’d use some sort of gorilla tape for a kids ski pant. I am really starting to appreciate gear that’s been used hard. Much cooler than that dude with brand new gear that never gets out to do stuff.

This. A variant of the ‘no scars, no story’ slogan.
