For sure. I picked up some LI for sureI use to travel to northern New Jersey for work. I had a lengthy conversation with a co-worker who explained the differences between long island, Bronx, Brooklyn and NJ. She called people over to demonstrate the differences

One of the weirdest things I've ever heard was a comedian who is an immigrant to New Zealand from Italy. Extraordinarily weird.

I have caught myself adopting another person's accent. Like speaking to somebody with a german accent and pronouncing W's like V's. Or hispanic people and incorporating bits of their accent into my talking.
I do it without thinking. If I catch myself doing I stop. I hope nobody noticed and thought I was making fun of them.

All of this is relatively normal. But being on a show and talking with a weird accent and saying, I am thinking about buying a... how you say... a Cadillac! is not normal. Reverting back to an accent you may have had is pretty common and starting to sound like the locals might happen to but this is weirder than that. To also say you came from Spain and your family lives there... come on.

I'll do something like that as a joke. "How you say ... slam pig."

At the new brewery we have this really neat drain system. The drains are very skinny. There is an accessory that fits in the narrow slot of the drain and it keeps all the shit from the tanks off of the floor. It’s called the Slot Hog.I'll do something like that as a joke. I hear what you are saying. Is not like she is from Spain or ever lived there for a LONG time to adopt the accent (which doesn’t explain the faking ESL aspect regardless). She complete fabricated this persona and lies about her background. It’s cultural appropriation to a delusional level when you add the lies about her family.

That's what I'm saying. Sometimes I like to talk like Father Guido Sarducci. Doesn't make me Italian.
