That got me nervous, sold FAS. Made 9% since last Thurs.
Toying with buying FAZ based on a market drop tomorrow with the interest rate announcement.

It's why I don't often go long on the triples. Lol. Market down on Friday, up both M/Tu. Odds are down tomorrow, bonus is the interest rate mention tomorrow.

I think we see a 1/4 point increase from the Fed tomorrow. They need to show inflation is still a serious thing. But they aren't going to want to go the 1/2 point and risk more banks. I bet they know what to expect from 1/4, with 1/2 being a bit more problematic

I think they should go 3/4ths. Be bold. Be brave. Be ready.

IMHO. I think the fed will pause out of caution. The banking failures are a solid reason to pause.
Up a quarter point:

It's funny because I did end up buying FAZ before it closed yesterday. I was biting my nails all morning. Market was down at the announcement with FAZ up like 1.5%. About an hour after the announcement the market flipped green and I was down on FAZ like 2%. Then the market started tanking later and I was between conf calls and saw I was actually now up 4% on FAZ and sold it. The market closed and FAZ was up a total 7% just today.
That's what I mean, the triples are big wins big losses. But if you're watching during highly volatile phases of the market, you can make some dough quick. For example, if the market opens down again tomorrow, I'll likely be buying into more upside triples.

Our savings accounts won't mind another interest rate bump.
