AB must be PISSED!

I think they should get a significant amount of money they've poured into this thing back.

Qatar is really shutting the bed. What a dumb place to have this tournament.

Beer might be the only thing that keeps me civilized. Without it, i'd need a swimming pool filled with human hearts and entrails to unwind from the day. And all the hearts are still beating too. Its like a big massager. You can swim it it, but its just better to float on your back and think about all the ghost energy evaporating out into space.

I mean they bid for it and won.

It's not like their quasi theocracy, climate or abuse of non citizen labor was any sort of secret.

I mean they bribed everyone and their brother for it and won.

Netflix has a good documentary on FIFA and just how corrupt this whole process was.

AB must be thrilled 3 days before the kickoff.

Any bets the private suites with the royals will have booze?

Can let the commoners get inebriated. Their initiations may be lowered and they might start thinking crazy things like their theo-crazy is bullshit and someone should do something about that.

Sales are still permitted at fan events in licensed venues, as well as in-stadium luxury suites that also serve liquor, wine and custom World Cup 2022 champagne.

The Netflix series is pretty good. It’s really sad that such an awesome game is governed by such amazing corruption. Also hard to believe the US didn’t indict Bladder. I also read that Jack Warner is finally going to get extradited, but Jesus, the whole organization needs to be torn out root and branch, hard to see how that could even be done without ruining the game for a while.

And this business with the beer is just more of the same two-faced absurdity. They FORCED Brazil to ALLOW alcohol at the World Cup, said it was “non-negotiable.” Now this?

Budweiser will ship the unsold Buds to the country that wins the tournament, the company said in a tweet. The company confirmed the plans in a statement to CNN Business, writing that it “wants to bring this celebration from the FIFA World Cup stadiums to the winning country’s fans.”

“We will host the ultimate championship celebration for the winning country. Because, for the winning fans, they’ve taken the world. More details will be shared when we get closer to the finals,” an Anheuser-Busch InBev spokesperson said in a statement.
