The guy in the podcast is affiliated with Phantasm as well.

Turns out, he's the same guy (Jos Ruffel) who was on Denny's show.

Do you guys do a cliff’s notes written version of the podcast? I don’t mean this to be a dig, but sometimes it’s nice to get “just the facts ma’am”

For a while there was a volunteer doing transcriptions, but not any more. We don't get paid enough (anything!) or have time to do it ourselves.

I bet voice recognition could solve this problem. Just need someone who's done something like this before to set it up for you.

Voice to text? I love listening to podcasts and you guys have some really interesting topics but I don’t always get a chance to listen.

There are services that do that we've looked at.  But there's the expense, then the time it takes to go through and correct things. And bottom line is that few isteneers have asked for it.

Well I hope you can find something that works. You do a lot of topics and it would be a great reference.

Drew just let me know he's testing something now.

My very initial searching on this tells me there are python libraries to do this stuff. As for using services to do the computing I'm not sure how that goes and if there are free options but I'm thinking there are. It's even possible to discern the speakers from one another.

I just finished off my Baltic Porter. I have tap room, so I'll be doing my experimental Phantasm brew next weekend.

Brewed it up today. I'm a bit concerned as my Helio Gazer pouch was swelled up some when I went to make a starter yesterday. It's not terribly old - dated mid September. Anyway, I used 4 oz of Phantasm in the WP along with 2 oz of Saaz and Nelson (I mash hopped 2.5 oz of Saaz, too). Let's see how this plays out.

It's been chugging away since last night. Looks like the yeast is fine.

Looks about done - went from 1.076 to 1.014. It's bubbling very slowly now. I'll dry hop soon (via magnets).
