I've had a commercial beer made with it. It was good.

Lol... I have not brewed in a year but I bought enough phantasm for three batches today and the yeast to go with it... Now I have to brew!
Which yeast, cosmic punch?
I see there's now a few "thiol" yeasts.

this is the one that I've had from stoneface.
IPA WITH PHANTASM
IPA featuring Cosmic Punch yeast and Phantasm induce massive tropical, juicy character. Notes of bright passionfruit and sweet white grape throughout.
IPA - 7.2%

Got a lb. in the fridge. Listen to the latest Experimental Brewing. I talk to one of the guys who came up with it. He recommends using it in the whirlpool. The same interview talks to R&D from Omega and YCH about the synergy between yeast, hops, and Phantasm. A big point is that the malt you use plays a large part in thiol development.

The podcast I heard today said pilsner malt seems to work well.

First, I read to use it during fermentation. Then I saw WP. On a podcast I listened to today, they recommended to use it in the mash. It'll be a few weeks before I brew with it, so I'll keep checking on what others are doing.

I'm going with what the guy who invented it says. Also, all 3 in the interview recommended good craft malt.

You can skip the first 17-18 minutes if you listen to the podcast. Apparently this brewer uses way less hops with the Phantasm.
