Thiols are all the rage right now, so much so that Omega Yeast, Phantasm and Yakima Chief all brought thiol enhancing products to the market at the same time. Denny finds out how these products can be used together to synergistically maximize impact in any IPA style

Now that's odd. The podcast I listened to yesterday also featured Jos Ruffel. But in that episode, he said the mash was the best place for Phantasm.

Maybe as they do more research they're changing things? I dunno, but he said at least a couple times to use it on the whirlpool at the rate of 1-2 lb./bbl. He did mention using it other places, but there's still a lot they don't know about it.

For sure. Btw, what would 1-2 lb/bbl translate to for a 5 gallon batch?
