So I don't have the greatest hair, sort of the opposite. I have hair, but outside of that not a lot to cheer about.

I typically keep it 2-3 inches on top, around 1/2" on sides. Ideally I want it to appear dry, but stay mostly in place without any hard/waxy/greasy feel.

Best product to date is salt water. If you want better hold, you can use a hair dryer, but I don't. I just saturate water with table salt. It does start to become less effective as my hair gets longer as my recent vacay photos show lol.

Anyway, rare meat, fast cars, sports, etc.

I’m more of a Paul Mitchel leave in conditioner kind of guy.

Weed, shrooms, doses, mahl, kizzle, two chicks at once

I don't want Fop. I'm a Dapper Dan man!

I kind of like the products that come in a tiny can. I think they are some sort of wax.

Yeah admittedly I'm not very manly lol.

If you want a matte sheen try to find something with clay.

My barber gave me a tin of Shiner Gold Clay. Smells great and just takes a little to keep things in place. Not shiny or oily at all

Shiner Gold Clay Pomade | Strong Hold | Matte Finish | Water-based | Coconut Scent, 4oz https://a.co/d/8sRZtTj

I use Bed Head Matte Separation. I get it from my stylist or Amazon.

Holds my hair well, isn’t shiny, doesn't get crunchy, doesn’t make my hair feel oily.

Additional plus, if it’s late in the day and my hair isn’t looking great or gets messed up? I can just wet my hands a little, run them through my hair, and reshape it easily

Also doesn’t have a strong fragrance. I don’t like my hair product to smell

I got a can of their forming cream that works really well. Lasts forever. I see old spice makes a pomade too, I like their original deodorant and would consider trying their pomade if it had a similar scent.

I don't have much hair but I would still like to keep it in place for the most part.  I have some stuff... Redken #6.  It's not gel or paste... more like a goop.  You don't need much of it and if you use it sparingly it won't make your hair look wet.  It's $18 to $20 for a "tin" of it and should last a long time.

Grills, football, Camaro, protein, barbells, beard wax, beer, hot dogs, car parts, metal-toed boots, twoba-fours, sledgehammers, Gold Bond, power tools, etc.  :D

I occasionally use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree hair and body moisturizer as a "gel".

Other than that, shampoo from the dollar store.

I've been letting my hair get longer on top and have fine hair, so need something to hold it in place so it doesn't end up a frizzy mess or hanging straight down over my forehead without wetting and combing it multiple times a day. I've tried several things and like this the best. Has pretty good hold without feeling shiny, and despite being generally against beard products I've tried it there too, and it keeps my beard tidy. Also smells subtle but nice.

I’ve had success with bed head, and some stuff from target now. Might give that Viking cream porter is slinging a try.
