I have not refilled any in a while and I still have a decent supply but I will be curious what the prices are now. I mostly just hand the guy cash and I am sure he just pockets it.

I paid about 3-4 bucks more than the last time (years ago) for a 20#. A local liquor store chain will swap out of date tanks for a lot less than test & fill so I haven't refilled in a long time.

I refill a 20# tank for I think $25 at a local welding supply place. I started off with a beautiful 10# aluminum tank back in the day, but now do 20# exchanges.

To refill a 20# in Philly its $20. In Charleston, it's a $50 exchange!

I think I'm at $30 now, it used to be around $20 I think. At the start maybe less than $20.

Try one of the grow shops. Way to Grow down near Circle & I-25 does 20# exchanges for around $15 iirc.

That's so cheap I'm wondering if they are on drugs or something.

Thanks for the tip, will check it out. Actually we were thinking of buying a grow tower for greens and herbs (culinary). My kids' preschool has one and it's pretty cool and pretty decorative.

This is the one they have. Grows a surprising amount of salad greens, other greens, herbs and the kids are responsible for tending it. Looks cool, too.

that's pretty cool. more expensive than I thought it would be but I also wasn't thinking about the grow lights being needed initially. okay, enough of this. sorry to muddy up the beer forum

Yeah, and that's a pretty big one too, it's over 5 feet tall. I'm sure there are smaller ones. We have a spot in our front room where it would look cool. Yes, back to beer.

I think he just makes up a price when you come in.

Sounds like the fire extinguisher place I go to. Always bring cash!

I'm just pushing a little 1 gallon keg so I bought a mini regulator that will for on a soda stream bottle. Works pretty well, I use the same setup for CO2 injection on my planted aquarium.
