The Brew is Out There!

Last time, we covered Drew's favorite way to use hops. This time, it's Denny's! We break down the two West Coast IPA styles we agree on before Drew throws in a disputed third variety. Just how bitter does an IPA need to be to be West Coast?

I gave it a listen. I've been thinking of making an old school WC IPA for a while now - it's been ages since I had one. Also, you got my attention when you said you didn't WP hops. Maybe as an experiment I should bypass that and go heavier on dry hopping.

have you tried great north IPA lately?  just picked some up for $14 for a 12er.  at 7% abv this beer is a real bargain.  maybe not full on west coast but def not NEIPA or anything like that either.

I am not sure I have seen it. At that price point I will definitely look for it.

Seems, the only good priced beers around here are Sierra Nevada. I rarely buy beer anymore but I do on occasion. Also, the new supermarket a couple of blocks from me recently opened their beer bar. Very nice! Thursday is 1/2 price pints. Obviously, if we trek there, it's1/2 price night.

I feel pretty lucky to have a decent beer selection at the grocery store here.  it's not hard to find or rare items but plenty of good quality stuff at reasonable prices.
