I just pulled the trigger on a new Godzilla Premium that was just announced by Stern. It's the latest from Keith Elwin, who has released three amazing machines in the past two years. Based on the reveal this looks like his best yet. I can't wait until this ships!

Definitely a dream theme for me

Damn those are spendy.

They would be cool as hell to have, but I'd better buy my wife a hot tub first!

Yeah the prices are not pretty. The new machines have gone up like most things recently. The used market had gone completely nuts, though. The hobby is definitely booming.

It's probably cheaper to get into classic car collecting lol

You and me both. I'm already rearranging to make room for the next pin. I plan on pre-ordering the next, and likely final run, of Deadpool. I love that game.

Awesome!

My dad bought this one in the mid 90s:

Quite a bit of maintenance, but mostly just new rubber pieces and solenoids and similar

Invy how many machines do you have? Do you buy and sell or is it a growing collection?

This is actually my first. Been planning on getting my first for a while but the space was too limited. As it stands I think I'm still going to be limited to 2-3 machines for the foreseeable future

The Limited Edition have been on the line the past week. Once they finish building them the Premiums start production.

Hoping my machine gets built next week!

About to order a Deadpool as well :D

When are you going to tell them that it's a seventh floor walk-up apartment?

Godzilla made landfall yesterday morning. I don't have it dialed in just yet but it's been fun

Sorry for the bad pics, it's hard to get a decent shot with the lights on/glass and I'm a terrible photographer

Here is the main mech in the game, the building (Godzilla lurking in the background). It acts as a bash toy. You hit it so many times to "destroy" the building, which acts as a physical ball lock. Three balls locked on the roof and it actually lowers the building into the playfield and drops the balls for a multiball. It's really cool.

But the genius behind it is it acts as a ball diverter for the wireforms depending on what level of the building is at. Just to the left next to Godzilla is a physical magna grab as well.

Theres also a bridge that you can destroy and has a mode. The code isn't done but it actually "breaks" and the ball will drop instead of continuing on the wireform

Here is Mechagodzilla. It's a second bash toy and also a pretty unique design. It has a spinner in front of a ramp that launches the ball into the mech. Its belly has a magnet that can grab the ball if qualified. So many spinners and bashes and the ramp/spinner mech actually rotates on a disk to reveal three switch targets. Hitting those then qualifies Mechagodzilla multiball.

Here is the whole machine. Not sure if this is the final spot. Still need to decorate the area if so haha

Lower playfield. Scoop here starts battles, levels up Godzilla, and summons allies if qualified (ball saves, 2x scoring, etc).

Is it all solid state for tilt detection nowadays? I remember some pretty cool mechanical aparati in ours. A ramp, a pendulum, and maybe something else.

They actually still use the old style tilt bobs. Surprisingly little has changed over the years tbh. The LCD screens have been a great change and that didn't really start until the last 3 years.

LCD lighting has been a game changer since the playfields can now convey more information - the same insert/shot can light up in many different colors. It's easier to convey more complex rules with that dynamic lightning and adds a surprising amount of depth for the designers and people on code

beautiful machine. that looks legit.

Thanks dude!
