Well, I finally replaced my old Barley Crusher. I now have the 3 Roller Mighty Mill.

Nice. I still just have my barley crusher from 15 years ago. Will be interested in hearing your thoughts.

I haven't looked at new equipment in a long time.

That looks awesome! I have the basic two roller Monster Mill and it works well for me.

My JSP is finally starting to show signs of wear after 20+ years. That one looks like a contender.

Just looked up the JSP maltmill. They had a fire that destroyed their facility and are no longer in business. I have no idea when all this happened.

A while ago...at least 5 years, maybe more.  Jack had retired or died by then and his kids were running things.  After the fire they called it quits.

So far, so good. It's so nice not to have issues grinding my malt. Took a few minutes for 16#. I can't remember the last time that happened. The only negative is that the gasket on top of the hopper sometimes pops off in places. No biggie.

Yeah, the rubber gasket. The edges don't seem sharp anyway. I'll either try to glue it or toss it.

So far, works like a champ. I should maybe loosen the gap a smidge as it obliterates the grain. Fine for my BIAB but it seems to stress my drill some. It got pretty hot.

corded or cordless?  I specifically use corded for my mill.  I just bought the cheapest ryobi I could find at the time.

I rarely buy tools from HF, but brewing seemed like a good use case. I bought their heavy duty drill which includes a perpendicular handle, which eases stress on your wrists. I think it was maybe $40. Doesn't seem to heat up significantly.
