The base game is $59.99, but there's an anthology/bundle that has the base game + 14 expansion packs/DLCs for ~$48.00 (regularly priced at ~$210.00).

Not sure how long this deal is good for; am buying today.

Having a blast with it; too good an offer to pass up with all of the expansion packs/DLCs thrown in.

Haven't played Civ in a long time (last version was Civ 3, ca 2002), so for me there's a learning curve involved, but a fun game all around.  Tho.

You gotta be aggressive in the early game. Scout as much as you can, built warriors and kill the first civ you cross. Secure a choke point to keep out the land-based assaults while you grow your city spread and infrastructure. When someone pisses you off, switch back to war production and take it to them. Alliances are great, but let them come to you on their knees. Deal with city states diplomatically until you can crush everyone.

I got the platinum edition (everything but the last group of DLC) via Humble Bundle. Haven't had a chance to play yet, but $12.

I’m still loving this game - it’s all I did yesterday lol. I guess I just needed one day to completely check out.
