I've beaten the Sega Genesis version. I recently beat the snes version. While the snes is better in some ways (more playable characters, maybe a couple more mini levels, some advanced audio in the form of the bosses talking) I think the Genesis version has a better feel. Maybe it's nostalgia. I still remember buying that game with my mom from toys r us. I don't remember the exact occasion but she brought me there to pick out a game. I let her help me. I normally wouldn't have picked a cowboy type game but she seemed to approve so I figured why not. Turned out to be an awesome game.
