We played more MK2 than anything. Early internet and BBS to get move lists, good times

Super Star Wars

I wasn't great at that game except for the death star trench run. My friend would get to that point and then I'd finish the game for him. I was always good at flight sims.

I was just about to fire up zelda - I never really got into those games back in the day.

A couple of years ago I tried to pick up super metroid.  I don't think I have the attention span for these games.  I find myself playing stuff that I can pick up for 15-20 mins and then put down.  no need to remember what I was doing in the game when I pick it back up.  that kind of limits what end up playing.

I never played that. I just haven't been able to get into RPGs. I don't know why. I think my attention span sucks.

We kind of skipped snes. Maybe we had one for a year or so. But nes and n64? Oh yeah. Played so much blades of steel, play action football, mariocart, and goldeneye.

That's a pretty long period of time you missed there!

6 years or so?

He was probably getting laid or wasting his life living it or something dumb. Man, back in the day when you could yank the other person's controller out of the box to express your frustration and anger.

I had no console between the NES and the Wii.

these gaps likely have a lot to do with age.  I mostly stopped playing console games towards the end of HS and didn't pick them back up for some time.
