I still use BLC- once a month. Never had any head retention issues. Use a 2 gallon bucket with a small pump to recirculate. Procedure is to run a 1/2 gallon and 1 oz of BLC, then rinse with 1 gallon of water. No star san.

I'm fairly certain I did something because as time has gone on the head retention issue went away. Not sure what it was but I'm guessing user error.

Geez. My BdG was tasting off, started to worry that it took in o2 or something. Cleaned the line out and "bam", it tastes great again! I really have to start maintaining my beer lines more regularly.
