Great news!

Check out the Anvil Foundry all in one systems. They make 6.5 gallon and 10.5 sized systems. They are 120v or 220v switchable.

I miss brewing sometimes. Seeing as how I'm probably not going to drink again, I won't be brewing again, but I do miss the process. Maybe I'll start making kombucha...

So what you’re saying is if you spring a leak, she’ll mend it?

I love it

Holy crap.  That looks too easy, and around $500?  I started buying bits to build an electric system a few years ago but never got around to it.  May be time to change horses in the middle of the stream.

With the limited amount of movement I have in my left hand it's been difficult doing a lot of the things I was used to doing previously. However, rather than just accept that I've been trying to find ways around my limitations in order to do the things that used to be fun. One of the things I've decided to start doing again is [2319 ALERT!] brewing my own beer.

So The Stranger is brand new again?

Great to hear that you're able to do this.  Sorry to sound cheesy, but you're an inspiration.

Yeah. It's ridiculous. I built mine like 15 years ago and I spent more than that even though I scavenged like half the parts for free from work. And mine isn't nearly as user friendly.

If you want to step up and your budget can take the hit, the Grain Father has a good reputation.

Or check out what Bobby at BrewHardware dot com has. He can customize a turnkey set up for you. Bobby is a homebrewers and knows his stuff. He has a nice PID based controller customized for brewhardware that is nice.

Blichmann has their brewcommander, their kettles and their heating elements.

I've sometimes wondered over the years if the people I sold my electric brew rig to are still using it. I was a bit uneasy about the two young guys that were going in on it and declined the sale. Turns out one of their step dads was an electrician and once I went over everything with him and he gave me his word he would guide them through a couple of brews and the safety regarding electricity I let it go.

If building one costs 10 grand, then building two probably costs 5 grand each.  And so on.
