I have been playing in an arena style D&D game for a little while now.  Premise is, you start the season at lvl 1.  A team of characters (5-8 characters) enter an arena, and have to battle bosses.  Kills are tracked, you get paid gold at the end of each battle.  Gold is used in the store for weapons, armor, potions, you get it.  You level up twice a week.  A season is 10 weeks with everyone at full lvl 20 at the end of the season.  Downside is, it's at 9pm PST.  So, it is late at night for me.  I have been playing until 2am or later, every tuesday and thursday.  It's streamed on twitch.  People watching live can use their channel points to drop fireballs and potions in the arena.  It's been a lot of fun.  It's a challenge, because it's not like a campaign.  You have to build a gladiator.
