right.  my comment was more to the whole "dude doesn't deserve to be a doctor" comment.  maybe he doesn't deserve to be YOUR doctor, but that doesn't mean he's not a capable physician that has healed many many people.

Going to have to disagree here.

He is letting his personal OPINION get in the way of his sworn profession. When you prescribe something that's not proven to treat a potentially serious illness, that's a problem. Then, to be anti-vax on top of that.

That's dereliction of duty.

 

All in all, I'm sure he won't miss me and his practice will go on just fine. There is no shortage of people here that will refuse to act in the best interests of community over self.

I find this a disturbing trend. wanting to negate a person's profession because of one form of treatment he/she disagrees with or even is skeptical about. for all you know he could have graduated near the top of his class at johns-hopkins and could very well be the best doctor you've ever had.

I find the line of thinking to be ridiculous.

A doctor who is anti-vax during a pandemic is a public health menace, not understanding that is what’s ridiculous.

There’s a minimum level of safety we ask for from doctors and things like food safety. The free market doesn’t work that well when customers are dead.

No, we aren't. AspenLeif, for one, keeps harping over and over on the fact that it doesn't entirely prevent transmission, as if that makes it a failure compared to other vaccines.

I've very recently heard real live intelligent people say that the vaccine sucks and doesn't work very well. It's also "not a true vaccine, it's a shot."
