I'll be reusing the Verdant yeast that's currently in the fermenter. Looking at a combo of azacca, bru-1, and citra in a Tropical IPA. How's that sound?

Used the Verdant yeast cake and it's going crazy after 4 bours.

Yeah, I will look into it if needed, but usually we are looking for ways to get extra humidity in the air. We cool with a swamp cooler and when we get around to replacing our furnace (when it breaks) we will get a whole house humidifier. We run humidifiers in bedrooms. We had a whole house humidifier at our previous house and it was nice.

this is why I asked.  check this out!

I won't post pics of the space yet because I still have to tile the stairs and finish a little trim work, but it's mostly done, and I did brew in the room once a few weeks ago (my holiday ale). Zero issues, absolutely no condensation. Dry as a bone here.

Here's a picture of my little brew area basically outfitted. I'll be adding some more beer decoration over time. It's just a little 5x5 area off the laundry room (I redid the rest of the laundry room too), but I can fit all my stuff in there except the grain mill. I will do any grinding out in the garage anyway. You can see what the ugly linoleum was like in previous pics.

That is a really nice compact setup.  I've been wondering when it would be finished.  Nice job!

Thanks. It just occurred to me that the bottle brush and carboy scrubber are the same ones I've had from when I started brewing 19 years ago
