I have some homegrown cascades that are over 6 years old now. why can't I just throw them out? they are almost certainly garbage. help!

Trash em! I recently threw out over 7#'s of hops. Many were still usable but I just didn't want to bother with them any more.

knowing what I know about your hop inventory I kind of felt bad posting this. I have first world hop problems compared to you 
I've almost used that hallertau you gave me. they were great!

Just toss them. Brewing takes too much time for the result to be subpar beer.
