Wow, dead guy is a beer I have not thought of in many years but I would not mind something in that vein on tap.

I was going to say earlier that I would dh more classic west coast. I find the "new" hops to accentuate sweetness and I don't see you wanting that.

I'm not sure if dead guy is considered a good beer but I always really liked it on tap.

Good or not I enjoyed it and drank my share of it. Then local places boomed and my buying habits changed. I would not turn it down!

Might try with Kveik (Lutra). I love that shit. Worked well with the Baltic Porter.

I'm gonna do a Faux Imperial Lager as soon as I get my 10gallon keg for a pressurized fermentation. I have some Lutra yeast that I think will do a nice job. It worked well in the Baltic Porter. Just ordered some hops for it.

Looking at Edelweiss and Mandarina Bavaria hops in that big lager. Hopefully, next week (waiting on hops and 10 gallon keg). I did open an early Christmas present - my mom sent me another Tilt! I love those gadgets.

Milled the grains for tomorrow. 8# pilsner, 6# 2-row, 1# copper, and 6oz Acid. Might hit it with a pound of sugar.

That Lutra is in high gear now. Somewhat surprisingly, it didn't really kick in until about 7-8 hours after pitching. But now its dropped considerably -from 1.088 to 1.044 since first signs of fermentation late last night. Got the SPUNDit set at 22psi and 90 degrees.
