Looks like 2020 took another one.  For anyone that listened to the Brewing Network back in the day I am sure they remember Tasty McDole and his Janet's Brown Ale and Pliny clone.  I never met him but I spent countless hours listening to him on podcast after podcast and picked up many tips over they years from him.  RIP

Does the BN still exist?

It appears that it does.  They even had a bar, not sure it survived Covid, http://www.thehopgrenade.com/

I have not listened to them in many years though.  But back in the day they were great for getting information out there.  I remember that was the first place I learned about whirlpooling hops.

Mike was a truly wonderful guy as well as a great homebrewer.

I use his lagering method (or something similar to it) all the time.  he'll live on in this brewery!

RIP Tasty!

I used to rip BN podacsts on to CD and listen to them in my car back in the days of MP3 CDs.  McDole really seemed like a great and fun guy.  Definitely a big loss for the homebrewing community.

This. It changed my whole brewing philosophy. He was a remarkable homebrewer. This sucks.
