I've been looking around for a ps5, still out of stock everywhere. I have both editions in my Amazon wish list hoping I can quickly add to my cart when it is available again.

Any other tips on how I can score one of these mythical devices?

Hmmm that's not bad

I bought it. Been playing Immortals, it’s an open-world Zelda-like game. It’s not Breath of the Wild but it’s entertaining. I’ve never played the Assassin’s Creed franchise so i have no idea what to expect.

Valhalla is pretty good, it came free with my CPU on PC, basic open world type of game that Ubisoft is good at. It's pretty fun.

I will say that the mini-boss and boss battles in this game ate *super* long and tedious. I’m really not into the fighting aspect of these games. If it takes more than a minute or two to beat a boss i get bored with it.

I’m trying to beat these quests and there will be 2 guys with 2000 hp guarding the boss and the boss will have like 4000hp. Meanwhile your dude can take like 3 direct hits. You you need to pick away at these guys with 25 hp shots for like 10 minutes. What a waste of time.

I've been thinking about getting a new game.  I haven't played anything since I finished Spider Man in March/April.  I haven't followed the releases so I'll probably need to spend some time see what's come out in the last 6 months.

Finally beat this. It wasn't worth it. Ridiculously hard game, kind of a dumb ending. It would have been a much better game if it was shorter.

Best buy has some good game deals. AC Valhalla for $20 and many others. I’ve done >200hrs on Valhalla the last year.
I saw an article that said even with the shortages PS5 matched PS4 first year sales.

Valhalla is pretty fun. I just picked up Deathloop but haven't fired it up yet.

I had picked up The Pathless last christmas since it had good reviews.  I've just got around to playing it this weekend.  The gameplay is pretty good but it got pretty monotonous and boring after a few hours.  The levels don't really get more difficult as you go and the puzzles to get the medals and diamonds (which are the only two things you collect in the game) don't really have much creativity.  They are all nearly identical.  I don't feel much need to continue with the game.

 

On Black Friday I got an anime game for my son and Witcher 3.  The Witcher game is the PS4 version but it's supposed to include the PS5 upgrade when they release it next year.

Well I managed to snag a PS5, started in on Ghosts of Tsushima, just wow. Breathtakingly beautiful. Grabbed Jedi Fallen Order for the wife and Demon's Souls for me. First time owning a cutting edge console, I have to say it's a pretty amazing piece of hardware.

Been playing Deathloop for a couple days. It's kinda fun and I can see the appeal but it's probably not one I'm going to see through to the end. After Returnal I'm kinda burned out on time loops.
