OK, i let it run overnight, no clue how long it really took.  This thing is bad ass!  I used to have a pretty decent Flight Stick joystick laying around, but I think i tossed it in the last move.  What are you guys using for flight controls?  Joystick?  Yolk?  And are there keyboard templates available?

Flight sticks were hard to find when this came out, not sure what the situation is now but I have a Logitech X52 and it's great for flight sim (and Elite Dangerous)

Holy crap, theres a wide range of flight controllers out there.  Some are very spendy.  Logitech's site is amazing.  You can actually build yourself a pretty realistic looking cockpit.  Its only money, right?  LOL    I ended up ordering a pretty low end HOTAS, under $100.

Massive update today. Supposed to dramatically improve performance. Downloading at 30-45 mbps right now, so it'll be a while (125 gb update)

I haven't played in a few months. I'll probably let this thing cook until winter. Maybe a lot of the annoyances will be ironed out.

I also sold my GPU, so there's that. I can play on the 1660, but would like to grab a new one as hopefully things settle down later this fall.

Bet you made a nice chunk of change on the gpu.

With the new improvements, a new gpu should make vr at high resolutions finally feasible.

Sold it for $2600. Plus made about $1600 in crypto mining.

The secondary prices were obscene, but also I wasn't gaming once spring hit. And mining was drying up. Plus, my old 1660 runs Steam games fine. I'll probably buy a new one whenever I can buy something curbside/walk in.

Some people create realistic model planes. And others make simulators that are exactly like a real cockpit. This awesome psycho made a fully functional model simulator.
