Meh.

Hard for it to mean much when it's 2 weeks after the all-star break.

Poll was up on MSN today, Are you excited that MLB is returning

Yes - 30%

No - 46%

Baseball is returning - 24%

416,000 reponses

That doesn't look good for baseball with 70% either not caring or not excited about it coming back.

I'm not great at throwing. Essentially didn't play baseball. But I could at least throw in the right direction. Might bounce in the dirt or something or have a bit of a ballistic looking trajectory but man. These videos show quite the lack of even the most basic athletic ability.

It takes practice to be able to throw if you have not thrown in awhile. I realized this 12 years ago when my oldest was 4 or 5 and teaching him to throw. I figure I had not consistently thrown balls since the early 90s. It took a while to get proper throwing down. Fauci is lat 60s or early 70s. He might not of thrown a ball is 30-40 years.

If I was thrown out a first pitch I would practice prior

me too!  I'm not expecting great form but I'd think within 4' of the plate (side to side) is pretty reasonable.  I know my form is not very good.  most of my throwing was snowball fights :P

I pitched in little league but I was a left handed side arm thrower. I got to pitch because it took players a while to adjust rather than being good. The pitch did the same thing, when thrown correctly, every time, broke left to right, rising and then dropping at the plate. Hindsight I never had a coach that knew how to improve it. I probably should have played in highschool but I could not hit and my fielding was below average. I figured I would be lucky to pitch and inning every few games

Fauci is almost 80, actually. I agree he looks late 60's/early 70's. He clearly takes good care of himself, may be genetics as well.
