A long time ago I promised to put up a video that did justice to these guitars.

It's been a while. We've been working hard on launching this company. Looks of great things happening.

The 'piano like sustain" isn't quit right. That guitar will ring out for a full 60 seconds.
And you should hear it when it's tuned c-g-c-g-c-c

Sweet Guitars.
I'd love one with dual coil active Pick Ups.....
But the price leaves me waiting in the cold..
I could afford a Les Paul Standard before them.
If I had the spare cash I would buy one but wow....

How does that resonator work?
Refer to the patent drawings. https://jasperguitar...ented-hardware/
The top surface(14) is captured between the bridge (24) and the tone block(6). Then the adjustment screw(20) puts tension between the top sound board and the back(18). This allows us to change the resonant frequency of the guitar. Basically, we can tune the body itself. Getting the body to where it is happy allows for unbelievable sustain. That guitar will ring out for a full minute. Pretty crazy.
Then, one day Tony was messing around with one at home. Trying to not bother his wife too much, he was playing unplugged and came to the realization that it has great acoustic properties and it would be interesting to drop an acoustic pick up in there. He had an L.R. Baggs Anthem SL at the shop so he went for it on the yellow tele-style mule. The piezo strip is sandwiched inside between the tone block(6) and the guitar top(14). The mic is wrapped up in a bunch of foam in the upper chamber. It was so different he called me on a Sunday morning, begging me to come to the shop to hear it. The next day he and Karen got together and came up with that body shape. I drew it up in CAD and had it machined out that week. Tony stole a neck off another guitar and got that thing together and we've been playing with it for a month now.
One thing I'm pretty proud of is hiding the volume control. Being an acoustic pick up, it is supposed to be glued inside the sound hole. We don't have one those and we wanted to keep it very clean. Plus, that pickup is all prewired and we didn't want to cut it to get it in somewhere. So I made a slot in the body and mounting hardware to hold it so it can be put in from the inside. Then I hid it in the bottom curve of the body. You can see it in this pic. Right above his leg, the little white strip. https://jasperguitar...more/#gallery-3
The other day I was there and a guy was playing it using the body as a drum. You've all seen guys do that with acoustic guitars. With the chambers is this guitar, he found that he can get some really varying drum sounds from tapping in different areas. Then he was playing the guitar itself with just finger strikes. I wish we got a video of that.

This guy came in to demo the Elmore and ended up taking this one home with him.
Here's the Elmore demo.

Jay had the inside mic turned way down. Here's what it's like turned up and some body tapping at the end of the video.

We get that a lot. There's a lot of interest because it is a unique design and sound. We've literally have produced something that hasn't been done before. Even with that, the price is just north of what the market will bear so we are working to drive the price down to a no option model starting at $2700.
We sold a left handed one this week. That's my job for this weekend, mirror image the files and reprogram.

Damn, that sound... wow...
I am barely qualified as a guitar player, and I recently bought a PRS SE Custom 24, 35th Anniversary edition. But even at $1000 I feel like that's "too much guitar" for my skills.
