Like the look of the Quartermaster. Then again, just bought a Ron Kirn signature barn buster, so I can't justify another at the moment.

Guitar guys.

Also, hot damn that’s a sexy tele-esque ax you just scored. What’s the deets?

This is interesting. Telecasters, both solid and hollow bodies have been done to death by every boutique manufacturer out there. And we are trying to shy away from Fender influence. In fact, the neck on the Quartermaster ST will be changed out this week to a Jasper headstock. As we started to get designs solidified, Tony drew the Mana and everyone here seems to really like it. We were even contemplating not offering the tele shape, just to differentiate ourselves from the crowd. But we kept it to show that it works in other style of guitars with the idea that we might licence the bridge system.

I wish I was good enough to justify something this awesome.

Ron is one of the best-known Telecaster makers in the U.S. Body is 100-year-old + pine wood from tobacco barns. I went with single-coil bridge, humbucker in the neck, C-shaped neck, jumbo frets.

Looks like we are hitting the international stage. The guy from Bon Iver is stopping by the shop today.

I cut a couple bodies yesterday. We are using roasted/torrified/thermally modified swamp ash. The blanks vary in weight depending on where they are cut from the tree. This one was 19x14x1-3/4" and weighed just under 6 pounds. After machining it was under 2.

Random question, is there any industrial or commercial application for the 4ish pounds of waste material?

Most of it is sawdust. I do have some chunks off the corners but they are very odd shaped to do anything with.
I haven't burnt any of it. Maybe this afternoon I'll try some in the firepit and see how fast it burns and if it gives off any weird smell.
We are looking to get into roasting our own lumber and one of the things mentioned in the white papers is the fumes given off by the process. The kiln gets to about 450f and the gasses off a lot of stuff at that point.
