How long does $10K get you? I cannot imagine that many fireworks.

It was basically a two hour grand finale

A little quieter tonight. I think the guy across the street had a guest who brought the really loud, illegal stuff!

We only bought a couple little boxes for Faith, but the boys gathered funds from there friends and took a drive to a guy that HOOKS US UP. They spent about a grand. In the past we have spent as much as $2k on a display, it’s a ton of work setting up, lighting, and cleaning up, but we usually get a couple hundred that come by my folks place for those days and they usually donate a little to the cause

All I can figure is that two of our wealthier neighbors got into a pissing match, because last night was the most amazing non-professional fireworks display I've ever seen. Many, many thousands of dollars of explosives were set off.

We blew up about $150 worth, but it was virtually nothing in comparison. Good time nonetheless!

Interesting how uniform the heights of the explosions are.

yeah, it was freaking Baghdad 1991 here Saturday, 1/2 a block east they had mortars setting off car alarms for 2 blocks

We have 5 dogs, they don't react. Probably because they hear a French Horn everyday played LOUD!

Was a five minute time lapse, the part of the city they’re launched from is pretty much flat so I’m not surprised.

It’s illegal here but next to impossible to enforce. You can’t always tell where they are coming from and the police won’t show up unless you have an exact address, and even then, they will only make citations if they catch people in the act. I’m not sure what the fine is.

They gave out over 200 citations on the 3rd, double on the 4th so yeah they did

most years fireworks are a stupid risk here, it's dry as ####, fortunately we had our wettest June ever recorded
