I need a good desk chair for WAH purposes.  Looking at reviews on Amazon, it looks like every chair both simultaneously causes and cures cancer.  Not helpful.  I need some recommendations.  Anything mail order is in scope, any price will be considered.

I've been told gaming chairs are really comfortable.  Any truth to that?

I don't have any recommendations for you, but Amazon reviews are becoming useless, aren't they?

It's one of those things where you gotta sit in it.

At least if there's fewer than several hundred of them, yes.

I don't think even that helps anymore.  I was looking at sheets recently.  Thousands of reviews, 4.5+ averages, lots of glowing descriptions.  But then there are all these 1s that say they're shit. How can they be both?  "Best sheets I've ever owned" and "These are like burlap."

I love the ones that are like, "Don't listen to all the glowing reviews! They changed the weave!"

Oh yeah, only a billionty dollars.  But I can write it off as an unreimbursed business expense now, right?  I should drive down the street and see if they have a factory outlet or scratch and dent place.

Thanks for the tip.

I guess I'm strange but I've just been sitting on an old wooden dining chair since I've been WFH and I think it's more comfortable than all the "ergonomic" office chairs I've used over the years.

I got that when someone else paid for it. But I would be willing to buy one myself at this point.

In a “slightly” cheaper side, I have sat in this for https://rikachair.com/ for 8 hour stunts on a few occasions over the last couple of years at a desk that was too low for me and I was not in pain at the end.

Herman Miller does have a scratch and dent.

Also, for these species places will often bring demo chairs for a week or so.

You will need to ask your tax attorney about the right off. Probably need to depreciate over 50 years or something.

Nothing in this post is intended to be legal or accounting advice. It is only ramblings on the internet.

I got a free one from work, for home.  They hooked me up with an adjustable desk too.  I don't think it's a $1K chair like some ballers around here, but it works for muh butt.

Try Costco. People like the Ikea chairs too.
