I thought I would post here since.....  whatever.  Why brew it?  Water, alcohol, flavor of choice and carb it for a few days and pour.  Anyone see a reason not to do this.  Seems like a nice summer slammer.

I'm far too much of an alcoholic for this. A 6% ABV beer is my summer slammer.

Seriously. Wine spritzers? I'll be bloated and sloshing around with 2 gallons of liquid in my stomach by the time I catch a buzz :D

I’ve done a bunch of different mixed drinks carbed in cornies. Works well. For something like Truly, I’ll just buy it

In other news, tequila spritzers are way better.  :frank:

This

I used to be a “session beer” supporter. But I just can’t get the job done with low ABV

As for the seltzer thing, i mix vodka with those Bubly drinks. I make them very strong, drink them fast, and get inebriated quickly

I have this little 8oz mason jar I use for a glass

A few cubes of ice, 2oz vodka, 4 oz Bubly, and basically drink it like a big shot.

Then make a new one

About eight of those back to back and I am struggling to function

I tried a seltzer a couple weeks ago. Didn’t make me feel like Post Malone at all. Made me feel sad and empty...

I know a bunch of people who have done it.  You have to run a higher pressure on them, I think.  I haven't brewed beer in a couple years, but I have considered this.

Hey buddy.  I think you're like Post Malone.  Chin up.

A session beer is just a pale ale.  Dammit!  Where the #### is Denny Conn when I need him?

we really got our bar stocked and set up over the covid times.  I can make any cocktail now.  I'm all out of cranberry juice.  No cape codders.  I also bought one of those overhead citrus presses.  Total drunk purchase, cost me $90.  But I love that thing.  So...I have been drinking a lot of summer citrus cocktails.  I love a good Tom Collins.

A handle of vodka and the bubble water as noted is something I often drink for lower calories
