Hopefully, the same here. Strangely, the co2 I had connected to one side of my kegerator didn't leak in over 5 years. I connected the second keg a few days ago and - whoops. Leak somewhere. Hate that shit.

Found the problem. My gas ball lock was leaking. Disconnected and will replace tomorrow. I'm also going to visit AirGas and see if I can swap some tanks.

They swapped out the 20 but didn't have any 5's in the store. As long as there's no more leaks, I'm good for now.

I've gotten into the habbit of disconnecting the QD's from the kegs and turning off the gas at the tank for the day, and only adding more gas as the pressure drops from use. This has saved me many tanks of CO2 at this point.

So you just dispense with head pressure and then top back up when it slows down?

That just seems odd to me because you’re going to use the same amount of CO2 to dispense the keg either way. Unless I’m misreading you and you’re just disconnecting and turning off because there’s a small leak somewhere?

Yeah, he's worried about a potential leak. I'm keeping a close eye on mine for now.

Right. The idea is that if there is a leak in your co2 supply line you'll only lose the co2 in the line and not the tank or keg.

I got it now. I was thinking he was saying he dispenses with head pressure to save CO2
