Something that may be nothing in my process

So I don't normally keep my co2 hooked up to my kegs. I just occasionally charge up the head space as needed. My big co2 tank has a shutoff at the tank, a shutoff at the regulator and then an inline qd. Well something I've always known is that qd leaks a little. So normally I shut both shutoffs when I'm done using it. So the next time I use it there is still pressure in the regulator but if I open the regulator shutoff I can tell the tubing has lost pressure.
I never thought this was a big deal until yesterday I realized that the tubing might have a little o2 in it and I'm pushing this into my kegs when I recharge the headspace.
I used to actually use the qd sometimes but none of that stuff is party if my process anymore so I'm thinking I should get rid of it.

If you drink your beer faster oxidation becomes less of an issue.

I also shut my valves off. I have never thought (or worried) about any O2 buildup in the lines. I do worry about a keg being leaky and O2 getting in there that way. I lost a good batch that way.

i mean - how likely is it that o2 is getting in there? is it more likely that the co2 is leaking out until there is a very low pressure in the line?

Why not just change out the QD? If it’s all sealed up, there’s no issue
I'm thinking of just removing it.

That is probably the case. The tubing should fit tight.

can I just measure the ID of the tube to tell what I need? I want to try to get the right thing so it doesn't leak.

looks to be about 5/16" ID. does that mean I should step up to 3/8" so it's "supah tight"?

The fit in the hose is reasonable. Not so tight it was at all hard to get in there but no space around the barb either. One thing that was strange is I had to use a wrench to tighten the qd to the barb to not have it leaking. I submerged it in sanitizer and didn't see bubbles forming so I think it's good and tight. Back in business!
I've got some liquid qds with the same kind of mfl connection and hand tightening was always enough it seemed.

I don't think that is strange. I have never not tightened them with a wrench.
I guess maybe liquid doesn't leak as easily. I don't think I've ever had this style with gas connectors.

You never had flair gas connectors before?
